Lapses that caused Mumbai ‘08 Wreckage!

Well, there is not even an iota of doubt that Mumbai’s sprit and defiance is not dwindling in the wake of these terrorist attacks and kudos to that as always. Kudos to the efforts of all involved – commandoes, Mumbai Polics, NSG, Fire fighters, commoners, Railway police and all involved. Prayers for the souls of Hemant Karkare, Vijay Salaskar and Ashok Kamte.

Vijay Salaskar, described as an “encounter specialist,” was killed during an “attack at Metro Cinema” in Mumbai. Commissioner Ashok Kamte reportedly died in the same attack. Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) Chief Hemant Karkare was reportedly killed during an attack on Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.

But why has this happened? Negligence? Casual approach? Lapse in security? Inadequacy? Underestimating terrorists? Whatever is the reason – the resultant effect is for all of us to see.

The terrorists came in from Karachi carrying heavy arms and ammunitions, according to reports, in open speed boats and cleanly escaped the prying yes of coast guards and naval security forces. The explosives and arms were distributed across the city as planned and coordinated attacks were carried out at different parts in the city. Well, I thoroughly agree that it is not possible to guard a long coastline that a peninsular country like India has, but I sincerely believe that our Intelligence – RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) is one of the best units in the world and is quite well equipped to handle and curb these situations. I am not the one who would blast out at the potency and capabilities of our system – because I believe that we are well equipped, but even then lapses and negligence (should I say) cause this chaotic situations, which are uncalled for.

I sympathize, I cry, I complain, I crib, I pray, I desire, I believe, I write, I am right, I am wrong, I criticize, I support – all because that ‘I’ within me loves my city, love India and breathe in and out for India!

Let me give all u guys some very simple low down on events…. Even foreigners like Georg shud know…..
This is how terrorism is born and brought up…..
    1) Foreign countries AID Islamic countries thinking they’re financing Education….
    2) USA calls Pakistan ‘allies’… officially…. but keeps status of countries like India as ‘neutral’…
    3) UN are wimps…..
    4) Pakistan trains terrorists, whilst, having peace talks with India….. Gives them breathing space….
    5) Uses that money gained from these foreign countries to brainwash their youth, train terrorists, and buy weapons from China( who have their own underlying reasons for weakening India- Political and Economical)…
    6) ISI (In other words PAKISTAN govt, wink wink…) gets everything setup and obtains help from the local underworld), stashing of arms and ammunitions on “we’ve helped you to power” basis from Muslim politicians here in India (although money hungry Hindu politicians help them out alot too)…
    7) These well trained, better equipped terrorists now attack our soil….
    8) The press and media are such panzies that they cant even get themselves to say “Muslim attacks”…. also pertaining to the fact that their bosses are heavily linked to the underworld and political parties who would get really pissed if they did say that…
    9) People like Georg here claim that they hear from 1000s of miles away that the Indian Intelligence is to be blamed….washing their hands off the dirty money they supply to Pakistan…
    10) Sorry ass Indians with nothing better to do blame the intelligence agencies and the army and the police for not performing….. while clearly… intelligence informed the government of the impending attack hours before the attack took place…. and after the attack… the police did what they could by walking into the line of fire without proper armor…and got shot in the process…
    11) As usual Maharashtrian leaders like Bal thackerey and Udhav Thacerey keep their pie holes shut as they know elections are closing in and they’ll need the ’so called’ “MINORITY” vote bank….. even though i don’t see the point of calling them “minority” anymore…since they’ve multiplied like rats in the various chawls of India… and also, since Shiv Sena’s now moved on to North Mumbaikars…
    12) Vote bank politicians…including our very own chicken shit leader Manmohan Singh… not being able to say Pakistan on television…. calling it “our neighborings countries”…. i mean the guy is not fit of being called a sardar….
    13) Lazy Indians not getting off their behinds to go vote… also pertaining to the fact that there’s no one fit enough to vote for… its about choosing the lesser evil…..
    14) Idiots keep calling “Mumbai’s Spirit” a victory over these terrorist, not realizing that infact the terrorist are really successful and are celebrating their victory somewhere in Pakistan… and laughing at us for saying something like that…
    15) Indian government never realize that Gandhi is DEAD and defense is NOT the best offense…. it never WAS… it never will BE….
INDIANS need to get over the fact that Gandhi DID NOT get us independence and certainly not with SATYAGRA… His policy is flawed and certainly DOES NOT work with Fanatic RELIGIONS like ISLAM….. Read real documented history books of India and u’ll realize what factors lead to India’s independence…local and international…. forget your 3rd grade propagandist history… thats why he rightly got shot by a Hindu.. Here’s your eye opener for the day… go research…
You get an AK-47 wound on one of your ass cheeks… and if you turn over your other cheek to them…. Islami’s are gonna shoot that ass, shoot you and then go after your family….
The Pakistani’s say they’re sending the ISI chief to India to assess the situation… my butt…. He’ll come down here and start recruiting more fanatics.. not to mention, getting a whole idea of how security in India operates…. When will this trusting Gandhi government learn…
Indian really need to get out of the 1947 train of thought and step into reality…
But i guess thats not possible since we keep electing presidents and prime ministers from that era…..
    Please start voting…………….
Oh and by the way… i know how some of you no gooders just like to hackle these posts without any rime or reason.. so just to clear the air… I am an Indian… living in Mumbai…. Hindu…. Aethiest… don’t really believe in Religion…. so dont shoot your mouths off for no reason…
    Thanks,
    Ashwin.

  3. Hi Ashwin.
read your comment on the blog. The last line really made me think a bit and laugh at and your paradox – so dont shoot your mouths off for no reason…

Well, I felt like using the same third class language that you used on the blog, but my better judgment kept me away. I deliver them face to face buddy and not on blogs or comments.

Secondly, your point 10 is absolutely absurd.
Sorry ass Indians with nothing better to do blame the intelligence agencies and the army and the police for not performing….. while clearly… intelligence informed the government of the impending attack hours before the attack took place…. and after the attack… the police did what they could by walking into the line of fire without proper armor…and got shot in the process…

The second part I agree – Police did whatever they could, but what about the Intelligence part. Litsen dude – If intelligence did its part – then there was no action – that is a flaw – a crime.
And going back – what did the intelligence do – Informed of ‘impending’ attacks.. bloody hell… we all know that attacks are impending. RDX in Kgs landing in Mumbai through Gateway.. and Intelligence did its job..??? Wake up.

I agree with most other points though – Gandhism never did and never will serve any good – An only an iota of Subhaschandra Bose – ism will make a lot of difference. Voting must be exercised – as your rightly mentioned – but to whom is another big question.

I also believe compulsory Military training / police recruitments for all youths – males and females both.

Litsen dude – criticism will never help matters – but defending a hollow defense system will do no good either. Salute to all those who lost their lifes and all those who fought out – NSG, Police, Commoners and all.. but what lies at core is that the unit – comprising of different components – Intelligence – Communication – Action – Effect failed miserably. And in these circustances – an analysis will clearly tell you that Intelligence should have intercepted the boats and informed. The action should have taken place in the waters and sorted out – execute the attackers. Their landing on shore in itself is a big lapse in either intelligence or communication or security measures.

And this is not one off – Alibaug / Murud have always been in limelight for off shore trafficking. Leave apart the rest of atacks all over the country.

I would like to repeat – so dont shoot your mouths off for no reason…

i am very sorry for those who lost their lives or were injured and am sure that peacable means can be used to make such points…Maybe its time for the white wolves of the world to stop going to third world countries – eating the best of the food – drinking the best of the wine – and then leaving thei r rubbish behind them. maybe…if the white wolves would stop devouring the world for their own bellies and wasting resources for their own eyes….just maybe, such hate would not be engendered against them – we could share the world without fear.
